Safety context
Maintain at least 100 m from bison and never attempt to pass through a herd. If bison occupy the trail, wait at a safe distance or turn around. Wet sections, downed trees, and rapidly changing west-side access can affect the route. Check current official conditions, closures, weather and access rules before departure.
