Piedras Blancas Glacier Viewpoint Trail

Route overview

Begin on an access section across private property, enter the national park and follow forest above the river to the glacier viewpoint.

This route starts outside town and uses an access section whose owners permit passage under stated conditions before it enters Los Glaciares National Park. The gradual forest walk reaches a viewpoint roughly two kilometres from the glacier. It can form part of a longer point-to-point route to Poincenot and El Chaltén, but this record is the official return hike from Río Blanco bridge.
