Parker Ridge Trail
A high-elevation ridge hike with glacier views, strong wind and little shelter.
Route overview
Climb switchbacks to an exposed ridge overlooking the Saskatchewan Glacier.
Parker Ridge gains elevation steadily from the Icefields Parkway before reaching open alpine terrain above the Saskatchewan Glacier. The distance is moderate, but high elevation, exposed wind, snow and rapid weather changes make it a serious mountain outing rather than a casual viewpoint stroll.
