Route overview
Follow the signed coast path from Sand Beach toward Otter Point and return by the same route or use approved seasonal transport.
Ocean Path follows Acadia's granite shoreline beside the Park Loop Road. The route combines open ocean views, rocky coves and several of the park's best-known coastal landmarks without requiring a summit climb. Its easy profile should not obscure the hazards of slippery rock, rogue waves, icy surfaces and heavy visitor traffic.
