Route overview
Climb from El Chaltén through the Laguna Capri and Poincenot corridor, cross Río Blanco and complete the steep final ascent to Laguna de los Tres.
The trail begins with the same high-level corridor used for Laguna Capri, continues past Poincenot and reaches Río Blanco before its decisive final climb. The last section gains approximately 400 metres in just over an hour to the moraine holding Laguna de los Tres. This day route is related to, but not a duplicate of, the prepared multi-day Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre Loop.
