Routeburn Track: Key Summit Track in Fiordland, South Island / Te Waipounamu.
The route follows the Routeburn Track through silver beech forest for roughly an hour before turning onto the Key Summit branch. A final twenty-minute climb reaches open subalpine terrain, tarns and bogs. In clear weather the panorama spans the Humboldt and Darran Mountains and the glacially shaped Hollyford and Eglinton landscapes.
