Kammweg Erzgebirge–Vogtland

Route overview

The Kammweg Erzgebirge–Vogtland follows the ridge of the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge) and Vogtland along the Germany–Czech Republic border, a UNESCO World Heritage mining landscape recognised for its centuries of ore extraction history. The route passes historic mining towns, viewing towers and open ridgeline sections offering views into both countries, developed and maintained jointly by German and Czech regional tourism bodies as a cross-border cooperation project. Waymarking follows the international "IML" kammweg logo used for the route on both sides of the border, and accommodation is available in towns along the ridge at regular intervals.
