Gros Morne Mountain Trail
The flagship mountain hike climbs to an Arctic-alpine plateau and descends rough Ferry Gulch.
Route overview
Complete the approach, summit gully, plateau crossing, Ferry Gulch descent and return approach.
Follow the 4.5 km approach, climb the steep loose gully to the 806 m summit, cross the exposed plateau and descend a boulder-strewn path. The combination of distance, unstable rock and severe weather potential makes this a serious day hike.
