Fairy Falls Trail

A forested Yellowstone day hike to a slender 61-metre waterfall, with an optional extension to Spray and Imperial geysers.

Route overview

Fairy Falls Trail in Wyoming / Montana / Idaho.

Fairy Falls Trail leaves the busy Midway Geyser Basin corridor and enters a young lodgepole pine landscape before reaching one of Yellowstone’s most distinctive tall waterfalls. The standard destination is the 200 ft / 61 m Fairy Falls. Stronger groups can continue to Spray and Imperial geysers, but that extension increases time, distance and exposure to wildlife habitat.
