Chinquapin Oak Trail
A longer, flat forest loop through dry mixed woodland featuring the uncommon Chinquapin oak.
Route overview
Chinquapin Oak Trail in Ontario.
Chinquapin Oak Trail links the Visitor Centre and White Pine area through one of Point Pelee’s driest forest communities. Its namesake oak reaches the northern edge of a broad range that extends far south into Mexico. The route offers more sustained walking than the park’s short interpretive loops while remaining technically easy.
